What is an Ossetian pie?

It is a round Caucasian flatbread with thin handmade dough and a generous layer of filling — meat, cheese, vegetables, or fruit. Fydzhyn is the famous meat version; ualibakh is the classic cheese pie.

Is this the same as khachapuri or Georgian pizza?

Related but different. Ossetian pies use layered thin dough and more filling per pie. Khachapuri is often boat-shaped with cheese only. We bake both savoury and sweet Ossetian styles daily.
